Job Description: Safety Director An established 50-year-old company is currently seeking a Safety Director for a commercial waterproofing & concrete repair company in Dallas/Ft. Worth. We are seeking an individual to oversee the company safety and risk program and who could grow into a position in safety management. The successful applicant must be able to identify any situation that is potentially unsafe and/or hazardous in nature and provide to investigate and recommend any corrective actions. They will not only oversee and direct the process of safety analysis including any accident prevention measures but will be responsible for keeping records of safety-related matters and recommendation/administration of corrective measures for the company. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively through both written and verbal means is essential. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of the company safety and risk program and make sure the company operates in a culture of safety first. Key Responsibilities: · Manage the company safety policies and the implementation of those policies. · Organizes safety training for employees as required. · Liaise with different departments on safety and risk management issues. · Responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing safety-related, site-specific issues as required on a project basis. · Ensure all construction site work adheres to safety rules and safe work practices. · Communicate safety standards to all project team members. · Conduct regular safety inspections. · Follow company safety programs, laws, and OSHA operating standards with a “safety first” attitude. · Manage and maintain company safety program to confirm it is current and that the company follows safety compliance. Qualifications: · Construction Safety or related degree preferred. · Construction field experience preferred. · Self-motivated, self-regulating · Strong follow-up skills · Good written and verbal communication skills · Ability to establish and maintain good relationships.
