Northwest Animal Hospital is located near beautiful, historic downtown Grapevine, Texas. We are a four doctor practice looking to hire an EXPERIENCED, motivated, full-time veterinary technician to join our growing business. We pride ourselves on offering quality care with kindness and compassion. The ideal candidate needs to have a positive attitude, be reliable, and enjoy working as a team. Responsibilities include: · Handling animals safely and appropriately · Drawing blood samples · Collecting urine and fecal samples · Filling prescriptions accurately · Cornerstone Software experience a plus · Preparing specimens for lab work · Performing lab work on in-house machines · Maintaining clinic records accurately · Good client communication · Administering vaccines and other treatments as directed by veterinarian · Assisting with surgeries including placing IV catheters, anesthesia maintenance, and monitoring animals · Cleaning instruments, lab machines, rooms, cages, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 2 year minimum veterinary technician experience Cornerstone/IDEXX experience a plus Must have knowledge of anesthesia, taking dental radiographs, drawing blood, running in-house lab samples, using a cold laser, etc. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
