Job Description SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely application of payments to member accounts, as well as phone support to members on account balances, late fees, and use of the member portal. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers incoming accounting related phone calls and emails to assist members with payments due on accounts. Ensures daily that all application of funds are deposited/recorded timely and accurately within the e-commerce platform as well as internal controls. Understands the full payment cycle to complete daily tasks with Cash Receipts (i.e. updating and reconciling member accounts, reviewing and closing out batches at month end, monitoring credit card settlements). Coordinates member communications with the Marketing/Communications department on annual dues, annual keycard billing, quarterly MLS billing, and failed auto-payment notifications). Serves as a backup for keycard refunds within the Accounts Receivable and Accounting systems. Reconciles monthly the General Fund bank account. Assists in processing credit card payments for auto-pay accounts. Reconciles accounts that are not settled in a timely manner. Resolves member queries and issues related to member accounts in a timely fashion. Manages collections for suspended accounts and coordinates the reinstatement of services after processing payments on delinquent accounts. Responsible for timely response to all departmental voicemail and email inquiries. Process external requests for miscellaneous billing to members (i.e. no show fees and transfer fees). Maintains company established filing and record keeping systems. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: Education in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent work experience. Computer skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Software, Adobe Must be able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship.
