POSITION TITLE: Inventory Control ManagerPOSITION* REPORTS TO:* Senior Manager of LogisticsDEPARTMENT: Production and LogisticsPOSITION EFFECTIVE: May 21 ,2024 POSITION SUMMARY:As an Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, implementing efficient inventory and warehouse management processes, and ensuring the availability of products for our operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement control procedures and strategies to optimize inventory accuracy, minimize stock discrepancies, maximize inventory turnover, and optimize warehouse capacity. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet operational requirements. Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify discrepancies or variances. Responsible for organizing and leading year-end physical inventory count process. Analyze inventory data and generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and trends, to provide insights and make data-driven decisions. Develop and enforce inventory and warehouse control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Train and mentor team members on inventory and warehouse control processes and systems. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance inventory and warehouse management efficiency and accuracy. Perform and assist with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse. Performs additional related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has direct reports. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively train and mentor team members. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals. Proficient in using inventory management software and systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), ERP and warehouse management systems a plus. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and/or a combination of education and proven experience in inventory control or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to inventory control and warehousing. Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and other related safety policies and best practices. Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in a manufacturing operation. Bilingual in English and Spanish communication skills is a plus. OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Varying work schedules based on business needs is sometimes required. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Must have a valid driver's license.
