Rapidly growing plastic surgery office looking for high-energy, well-organized, and CUSTOMER-ORIENTED individual to join a newly established practice in Dallas, TX. 60% of our office is focused on elective, cash-based cosmetic surgery and medspa services that empower patients and restore their confidence and inner beauty. The remaining 40% consists of insurance-based reconstructive surgery for massive weight loss, transgender care, breast cancer, facial trauma, and hand trauma. Your role will be as the primary clinical assistant to the surgeon, working one-on-one in the office to provide elite, concierge care to each and every patient. Duties will include: Patient intake with comprehensive review of medical, surgical, social, and family history along with reconciliation of all active medications Detailed interview of chief complaint with accurate documentation of history of present illness, review of systems, and other pertinent clinical data Standardized Plastic Surgery Clinical photography Succinct transcription/medical scribing during all virtual and in-person consultations Setup/Teardown and bedside assist for all in-office procedures Proper sterilization of all medical instruments Inventory and stocking of disposable medical equipment Pre-operative and post-operative education on care instructions Insurance preauthorization, approval, and processing Administrative and Clerical Support to include managing patient scheduling, surgery dates, and follow-ups Maintenance of accurate, timely, and up-to-date patient records Inter-agency coordination between external healthcare offices/vendors via email, phone, text, fax Procurement of external medical records from outside agencies Customer-focused phone/text communication addressing patient inquiries and concerns Basic wound care, dressing changes, suture and drain removal Driving conversion rates of new consults to financially committed surgical patients by promoting surgeon and surgical results Scheduling surgical dates and submitting all required paperwork to local ambulatory surgical centers, anesthesia providers, vendors, and first assists Coordinating and reviewing all preoperative clearances necessary for the patient to safely undergo surgery Summarizing templated pre- and post-op instructions with patients and serving as their primary source for questions/answers related to surgical and non-surgical treatments Solicitation of testimonials and referrals from happy patients Compassionate, patient-centered management of unsatisfied patients Being available outside of normal business hours to address urgent/emergent patient needs Assisting with social media/marketing efforts as needed The ideal candidate would have the following qualities: Certification/Licensed MA, LPN, RN, CST, or CSFA (REQUIRED) PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in plastic surgery, dermatology, ENT, emergency medicine, hospital/surgical facility experience, or other surgical subspecialty [i.e ortho, neuro, general surgery, etc] (REQUIRED) Experience with the Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) electronic medical record system preferred Familiarity with INSURANCE processing and preauthorization BILINGUAL in Spanish is a plus, but NOT required Understanding of STERILE TECHNIQUE and proper processing of sterile equipment Experience with patient intake to include vitals assessments, medical history interviews, and medication/pharmaceutical knowledge Keen eye for Medical photography Proficiency in medical terminology and coding Basic and complex wound care assessment/management Strong customer service background Passion for aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, medspa services, and the beauty industry Proficiency with Excel, Email and Word skills as well as experience with Electronic Medical Record software Financial meticulousness and responsibility Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities to coordinate surgical services for numerous procedures across several operating rooms in the DFW-Metroplex Pro-active, self-driven individual with a GROWTH mindset for themselves and the organization Flexibility to work seldom nights/weekends as necessary through a 1-in-4 paid call rotation (for urgent patient matters only) Desire to become a long-term employee that grows with our company Benefits: Discount treatments and services Paid vacation and holidays On the job training in cosmetic procedures, injections, medspa treatments Opportunity to grow and become leadership within an up-and-coming DFW plastic surgery office To be considered, please submit: 1-PAGE COVER LETTER detailing why you would be an ideal candidate RESUME EMAIL, PHONE, START DATE DESIRED SALARY Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week Benefits: Employee discount Free parking On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Medical specialties: Plastic Surgery Surgery Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Work setting: Clinic In-person Med spa Office Private practice Telehealth Application Question(s): Do you have a certification/license in MA, LPN, RN, CST, CSFA or other equivalent degree?
