Position Summary: The QC Associate works as part of a collaborative team following procedures already in place to sample all materials that are used to manufacture and pack products at the facility. The QC Associate will demonstrate attention to detail, and proper procedures while assisting and supporting the laboratory and production needs. The QC Associate will be required to record data in documentation with accurate and legible entries following GMP. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Have knowledge of SQF or other food safety regulations · Read and comprehend SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) · Move materials from Receiving to Quarantine Area for review prior to releasing. · Sample raw materials and packaging for quality control testing to ensure they meet a set of predetermined quality standards. · Maintains cleanliness by picking up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing and distributing. · Keeps sampling supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts. · Keep equipment functional by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining equipment and supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. · Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books. Ensures data is properly and accurately recorded in logbooks in accordance with guidelines. Develops and maintains effective organization and time management through use of effective record keeping. · Inspect annual retain samples at the appropriate time intervals. · Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of this position in compliance with all policies and regulations. Collaborates with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to ensure results of their activities meet the corporate and regulatory standards and expectations.
